Happy 2025 Friends,
So much happening in 2025. It’s been a busy start to the year. I’ve spent most of January in organising mode, a trip to Stradbroke in the cyclone, Plein air workshops in Sydney and working towards my new exhibition.

My Upcoming Exhibition

I’m very excited now that my new exhibition,Rivers is getting very close. Opening at the end of this month at the Art Space on the Concourse in Chatswood, Sydney. It runs from April 30th to May 11, opening night is May 1.

You’re invited to join us for nibbles and drinks Matt Brennan, and Karl Tischler from the Wilderness society will talk to us about their work and I’ll be donating 10 % of sales from the exhibition to this worthwhile cause.

Rivers is the result of three years work following rivers along the east coast of Australia, into the hinterland and beyond. Plein air painting as I went. All this has been followed by many many hours in the studio refining the sketches into the 25 paintings on display at the Art Space on the Concourse in Chatswood.

I see the river as a form of connectedness. Connecting to ourselves and to others. To paint a river is to also paint the surrounding landscape that created it. This exhibition is the story of water and the trees and plants which grow along its banks- all connected. Symbiotic.

The paintings depict the diversity of nature and give a true sense of the love affair we have with the bush and remote spaces.
