2005 has been another busy year if somewhat wet at the start. We’ve had lots going on.

Workshops at the Hunter Valley; A painting trip to Stradbroke island with Brisbane painting friends in the middle of a cyclone; My exhibition, RIVERS in April. An excursion to the McDonnell Ranges; my yearly trip to Hill End with painting friend Jan, and an upcoming exhibition, WILD in November. Ian and I will be in the Arctic all of October so this newsletter comes to you early.

Our two day Autumn workshop in The Hunter Valley didn’t quite go according to plan

Our planned morning of painting in the vineyards on the first day was rained out, but with verandahs on three sides of the house and studio, our painters were able to find lots of plein air subjects and plenty of room to spread around. Painters happily spent the following two days painting in the studio, and bonding over lunches and morning teas. So fabulous to see the variety of quality work produced in the two days.

My exhibition, Rivers in Sydney
In April my exhibition, Rivers at The Art Space on the Concourse at Chatswood was a wonderful experience and so good to see so many of you on the night and during the following two weeks. We were pleased to be able to donate 10% of the sales to The Wilderness Society and to see many beautiful pieces go to great homes. Do send me some photos of newly hung works if you haven’t already done so.
