I was expecting a vista of reds and oranges, on our trip to The McDonnell Ranges with Kerri Armstrong’s Art Travel Adventures. We had about 12 painters in our group, and after 5 days of painting, battling the elements, and wonderful meals together were all bonded by the time we went our separate ways. It had been raining for weeks prior to our visit, so the water table was well up even though it was dry. My plans of Red Arkaroola type drawings were replaced by green grasses in the riverbed. Some beautiful spots and its always inspiring to be out in the wild.
